Evacuation Procedures

Per the Corporate Safety Committee, these are the procedures to be followed during a building evacuation:
- Upon hearing the fire alarm, every associate must evacuate the building immediately.
- Do not stop to gather belongings. Doors to offices are to be closed but NOT locked.
- Exit via the stairwell for your floor (do not use elevators).
- Descend quickly down the stairwell only to make room for emergency personnel.
- Talk only when necessary.
- No beverages are permitted in the stairwells as they cause slip/fall hazards and potential burns with hot liquids.
- Eating, drinking, and smoking are not permitted.
- Do not use cell phones or electronic devices while exiting; they may be used once you are outside.
- Go directly to the Designated Assembly Area for your Floor.
- Floor Safety Captains (wearing orange vests) will take attendance at Designated Assembly Areas. Do not leave the Designated Assembly Area until you have checked in with your Floor Safety Captain.
- To comply with security procedures, ensure your ID badges are visible before and after the fire drill.
